Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) nasce a Roma nel 1965.
Appassionato di musica ambient, sperimentale ed elettronica, e informatico di professione, si avvicina alla produzione di questo genere musicale nel 1994.
Nel 1996 si trasferisce per un anno a Koh Samui, in Thailandia, e in questo periodo inizia a maturare l'interesse per le musiche tradizionali orientali, interesse che lo porterà ad avvicinarsi sempre più agli strumenti etnici, e ad inserirli in modo rilevante in alcuni suoi lavori.
Dal 2001 inizia ad utilizzare il moniker "Nimh".
La sua musica riunisce influenze di vario genere, gli album sono spesso molto diversi l'uno dall'altro, e contengono varie miscele di elementi di musica sperimentale, ambient, dark-ambient, industriale, elettronica, shoegaze, post rock, isolazionista, etnico-rituale.
Oltre ad alcuni CD-R realizzati nel primo decennio di attività e circolati soltanto in edizioni limitate, dal 2004 ad oggi Nimh ha pubblicato numerosi CD e vinili ufficiali attraverso etichette quali Silentes, Malignant, Zoharum, Eibon, Rage in Eden, Winter Light, St.An.Da., 13, Amplexus, GS Productions, Naked Lunch Records, Oltrelanebbiailmare, Synästhesie Schallplatten, alternando lavori in solo a progetti paralleli (Hall of Mirrors, Twist of Fate, We Promise to Betray, Maribor, LHAM…) e collaborazioni con altri artisti.
Tre le collaborazioni più significative quelle con Rapoon/Robin Storey, Maurizio Bianchi/M.B., Mauthausen Orchestra/Pierpaolo Zoppo, Andrea Marutti/Amon, Aube, Day Before Us/Philippe Blache, Antikatechon/Davide Del Col, Nefelheim, Amir Baghiri, Mana Erg/Bruno De Angelis.
In questi anni di attività Giuseppe Verticchio/Nimh ha inoltre collaborato a vario titolo (progetti aperti, partecipazioni a CD e compilations, esibizioni dal vivo, realizzazioni di lavori di editing, mixing e mastering…) con altri artisti/progetti dell'area ambient-elettronica-industriale-sperimentale-etnica quali Iluiteq, Eidulon, K11/Pietro Riparbelli, New Risen Throne, Subterranean Source/Andrea Bellucci, Vestigial, Hue/Matteo Uggeri, Raffaele Serra, Andrea Ferroni, Stefano Scala, Andrea Ferraris, Subinterior/Andrea Freschi, Stefano Gentile, Gianluca Favaron, One Sound Duo, Orlando Lostumbo/Spheric, Davide Riccio/Dear, Luca Mazzariol/Like the Snow, Ascanio Borga, Tungu/Sergey Senchuk, Tomasz Borowski.

Born in Rome in 1965, Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio), a computer programmer, started to play electronic music in 1994.
In 1996 he moved in Koh Samui, Thailand, where he lived for about a year.
During this period he got to know and love traditional oriental music, and started collecting various ethnic instruments that can be heard on some of his CDs.
From 2001 onwards he released several CDs as "Nimh".
His music combines a wide spectrum of influences as he recorded and released many works of different genres containing elements of experimental music, ambient, dark-ambient, industrial, electronic, shoegaze, post-rock, folk, isolationism, ritual-ethnic music.
While some of his earlier works are only available as limited edition CD-Rs, since 2004 Nimh published many official CDs and vinyls on labels such as Silentes, Malignant, Zoharum, Eibon, Rage in Eden, Winter Light, St.An.Da., 13, Amplexus, GS Productions, Naked Lunch Records, Oltrelanebbiailmare, Synästhesie Schallplatten, alternating solo works with side projects (Hall of Mirrors, Twist of Fate, We Promise to Betray, Maribor, LHAM…) and collaborations with other artists.
The most important collaborations included Rapoon/Robin Storey, Maurizio Bianchi/M.B., Mauthausen Orchestra/Pierpaolo Zoppo, Andrea Marutti/Amon, Aube, Day Before Us/Philippe Blache, Antikatechon/Davide Del Col, Nefelheim, Amir Baghiri, Mana Erg/Bruno De Angelis.
