NIMH / SLEEPWALKER: Empire of Sand (CD 2026 - Ksenza Records)

The CD ‘Empire of Sand’ continues the collaborative experiences of Nimh, the Italian Giuseppe Verticchio, and Sleepwalker, from the cold Siberian territories.
Nimh already has around 40 CD releases to his name, including collaborations with Onasander, Rapoon, Fomalhaut, Antikatechon, Day Before Us, Aube, Maurizio Bianchi, Mauthausen Orchestra, and Andrea Marutti.
Sleepwalker also has several albums to his name, including collaborations with Black Wanderer, Thisquietarmy, and Fen.
Both have put their own instruments, mainly electric guitar, effects and synthesizers, to work to develop this collaborative album, which combines the typical and personal sounds of the two artists in a fluid and cohesive form.
A mixture of cinematic ambient music with cosmic undertones, constructed with a rich and varied range of sounds, with progressive and engaging dynamics, in which darker, uneasy and drone-oriented moments alternate with brighter, but always sober and twilight melodic openings, occasionally reaching brief emphatic peaks where the guitars, now more rhythmic, now more “liquid”, lead the ever-compelling sound textures.
During this long musical journey, you will cross the ‘Empire of Sand’, encounter cathedrals in the desert, uncover traces of other worlds, and recall memories of old rainy days...
Deeply moving and evocative landscapes and atmospheres that are sure to leave a mark and an indelible memory.
